The All New Samsung R810C Finesse from Straight Talk

So you want to save money with one of the best Unlimited wireless calling plans on the market but don't want a bland featureless phone? If so, good news because Straight Talk has just introduced the Samsung R810C Finesse smart phone. The R810C is one of the first prepaid touchscreen phones to hit the streets.

This phone is no longer available. View the much improved Straight Talk Samsung T528g

Like all great smartphones, the 810 allows for great browsing capabilities with its full HTML browser, so no more crippled mobile pages with this phone. Of course the Finesse wouldn't be a smart phone if it didn't come with other features like on board 2 mp digital camera with video recording capabilities.

If that wasn't enough, the 810 also features a great onboard built in MP3 player. One of the cooler things is the ability to use up to 16 gig microSD cards for unlimited storage capacity by way of interchanging cards. What's most impressive is that despite being a prepaid phone, the Finesse is 3g capable and since Straight Talk runs on the Verizon network, you can take full advantage of Verizon's great EV-DO 3g coverage. Even better, you can use this 3g coverage without having to pay the high price of regular calling plans since Straight Talk offers a $30 1000 min/1000 texts/30 mb of data in addition to their best selling $45 unlimited calling/texts and 30 megs of data. With either plan, you can use the 810 without having to pay an arm and a leg every month. This indeed is great news if you have been waiting for a true Smart Phone before taking the Straight Talk plunge. Click Here to Learn more about the Samsung R810C.

Introducing the New Straight Talk Samsung R451C

Ever since the introduction of Straight Talk, I have been wanting to switch my wife's service. The only thing that had been holding me back, however, was the phone selection. You see, she is really picky when it comes to what phone she carries so giving her a RAZR wasn't really an option.

Fortunately, Straight Talk (phone is also available for Net10 CDMA areas ) has introduced the Samsung R451C! This is really a great phone because it has plenty of features and it makes for an excellent texting phone. The R451 comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard so texting will be a breeze. In addition, the R451 features a great MP3 player. The really cool thing about it is that you can actually store your MP3s on separate Micro SD card! You can have low capacity ones for short playlists or a 4Gb SD card for storing a nice sized collection! This really makes this a versatile phone and this feature is uncommon on phones like this. Another thing to love about this phone is the 1.3 megapixel camera that takes quality shots. Are you sick of those grainy phone pics? Well, that won't be the case with this one! Finally, the phone comes with Mobile Web features and since the Straight Talk plan comes with 30megs of monthly access, you are free to do use the MMS Picture sharing feature, download new ringtones or graphics. Please visit the Straight Talk Samsung R451C page for more information.

I think my wife will be satisfied with this phone. There really is nothing about it that says cheap or prepaid so she will not have any reason to complain. She will have a cool modern phone and we will save some nice cash with the Straight Talk plan. Click Here to visit Straight Talk to see if this phone/service plan is available in your area.

Tracfone Brand New Straight Talk Wireless Plan

Great News! Tracfone has just rolled out their brand new web page called Straight Talk. This plan will offer cell prepaid cell phone users with an almost all you can eat plan. I say almost, because you get 1000 minutes a month at a very nice price. Dare I say one of the lowest prices around. Looks like this is Tracfone's response to the Boost unlimited plan. While Tracfone has had an unlimited plan for a while with their Net10 offering, this new plan is much cheaper and more attractive due to its great price point. Click Here and visit Straight Talk to view available phones

Did I mention that you also get 1000 monthly text messages? That's right, you get 1000 minutes + 1000 text messages. There is another nice little surprise included in this plan for those that have been craving a real data plan with their prepaid service. I won't reveal it here, click here to learn lots more about this exciting new Straight Talk Prepaid plan..

May 2009 Tracfone Promo Bonus Code Drought

Looks like May 2009 is shaping up to be a bad one for new Tracfone Bonus Minute codes. Several have expired and only a handful of new ones have surfaced. I should say, however, that April was a very busy month for Tracfone Promo codes. I say a whole lot of them being posted. So it should follow that May be a slow month. That being said, there are still quite good number of valid promo codes out there. Preprepaid.com which is probably the authority tracfone promo code site, is still reporting 119. So if you are looking for codes, there are still quite a few available. Hopefully June will bring more codes.

Up Coming New Tracfone Samsung T301

Update: The Samsung T301 is now Available with Double Minutes for life, Click Here and use promo 23444 to save $3.00
Sometime this month (April 2009), Tracfone will release 1 of two new phones. The Samsung T301. So if you are currently not satisfied with the current selection of Tracfone devices, then this one might be worth looking into as it adds the slider style phone to Tracfone's current line up.

The Tracfone Samsung T301 is a variant of the Samsung SCH-r610 currently offered by Cricket and US Cellular. However, unlike the SCH-r610, the Tracfone version will not have an MP3 player, external memory or video capabilities. Even though those features are not offered with Tracfone, the phone is still quite nice. The phone features a large 2" screen and will support both polyphonic and MP3 ringtones. Tracfone will also enable users to download new ring tones and Java games through their new data plan. All in all, this will be a nice addition to their lineup and should still be very affordable. I imagine that once sales on this phone get going, they will also offer a cheaper refurbished model making it even more affordable. I also suspect that Tracfone will bundle this phone with their Double Minute For Life plan as it has become one of Tracfone's MAJOR selling points when compared to other prepaid providers. Discount Tracfone Wireless Airtime

I have recently learned of a great way to get a nice discount in addition to using promo codes for Tracfone Wireless Airtime. In my search for finding discount sources for airtime, I came across PrepaidWireless.com. At first glance, I saw that they offered a 3% instant discount on airtime as well as rewards points (Click Here for Details). This was good but when I learned that they did not charge Sales Tax, I decided to give them a try. I placed an initial order on a 60 minute card and only paid like 19.89 or so which was nice compared to my usual $22 or $23 at Tracfone.com or a local retailer. Since I am in TN where they have a whopping 10% sales tax, saving 3 or 4 bucks on a card is pretty good. So if you need say a 1 year card then you can save over $10 over buying your card at Tracfone or a local retailer.

If you are wondering about the process and how you get the pin, its pretty simple. Similar to Tracfone except they email your pin instead of getting straight from the site. Another thing is that on your first purchase, you have to verify it over the phone after completing the process. Once you do that, you get your pin and redeem like normal at Tracfone. You can still use your promo codes so that is good as well.

All in all, I highly recommend you give PrepaidWireless.com a try especially if you are one who purchases large denomination or 1 year cards. So if you want to save a few extra bucks and bring your cost per minute rate down give them a try....Visit PrepaidWireless.com

Tracfone Promo Codes Success Rates

So you are looking for Tracfone promo codes huh? Well there are plenty of places to get some. But how about the success rates on these codes? How reliable are they. Well, some sites have numerous codes but a lot of them are outdated. After all, its a lot of work keeping these up to date. Another problem is that promo codes are only good 1 time per phone. So how do you know which ones are winners and which ones are loosers? Well, here is nifty little site that allows you to post feed back on them. So if you have used a code lately, please visit http://saveonprepaidphones.com/TracFone_Promo_Codes and post your feedback. The more people post their feed back, the more accurate it will be and the more people will benefit.

Net10 Tracfone Promo Bonus Codes

Ok, so if you are a Net10 customer or are thinking about Net10 and want to know where to get promo codes like the ones Tracfone Uses, I have bad news for you. While Net10 and Tracfone are one in the same company, Net10 does not use promo codes. Instead, they have a fixed 10 cents per minute rate. Does not matter which card you use, the minutes will be 10 cents.

Does this mean Tracfone is cheaper than Net10? Not necessarily, Tracfone minutes are only cheaper (slightly cheaper), when you buy the high denomination cards. By this, I mean the 200 and 450 cards. Since the 60 and 200 minute cards are by far the most popular, even with double minutes and the best promo codes, the minutes don't get any cheaper than about 10 cents. So basically, many Tracfone customers actually pay MORE for their minutes than if they used Net10. The promo codes are more of a psychological thing I guess.

So which one is better, Net10 or Tracfone. Well, this is a tough one, it really depends. If you like the promo code hunt then, go with Tracfone. If you like the hassle free approach go with Net10. Either way, they are both excellent prepaid services and if you are an average cell phone talker, you would save money with either. If you need more information before making your decision, then I suggest this handy Net10 Vs Tracfone chart.

Tracfone Affiliate Change of Terms

If you are a Tracfone Affiliate, then you might already be aware of the recent terms change in CJ. If you are not, basically it says that Tracfone will no longer pay commission on airtime but will pay 18% on phones. I guess this is good but mostly bad and I can't say it surprises me one bit. One of my pages was doing very well (at least by my standards which are not that high) because providing links to buy airtime is easy. After all every Tracfone Customer needs airtime right? I figured Tracfone probably knew this all along and realized they really don't need affiliates to sell airtime. Anyhow, so how does the new terms affect commissions. Well, it puts a rather large hit on them. I figure at least a 40-50 percent hit. Another bad thing about the terms is that instead of paying a straight $5 on ALL phone sales, they are now paying 18%. You might think, Wow 18%, thats pretty good! Well, not really, you see, the best selling phones are those under 20 bucks so with this Terms change, commissions on those are all under the previous $5.00. So all in all, the end result of the terms change is that a lot of affiliates will make a lot less money. With the new Terms change, Tracfone benefits in 3 ways. They obviously pay out less money, they get people to sell more phones and they get lots of free traffic from the sites offering airtime card coupons. I doubt that coupon site operators will change their strategy because the coupons generate traffic and sometimes result in phone sales.

If you denied the terms, then you were not affected or have not been affected YET. The current terms expire on 2/13/09 so enjoy it while it lasts.

Are you a Tracfone affiliate? If so, how much of a hit are your commissions taking? Feel free to comment, im really curious how others feel about this.
